Boise, Idaho, Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Marketing and Promotions Graduate Assistant. The successful applicant will become part of our team as we build a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. This position will be responsible to maintain marketing and promotions standards for select sports and groups within Boise State Athletics Department with primary objectives dedicated to attendance, atmosphere, revenue and branding. The position will require a strong, working knowledge and understanding of NCAA, Conference and Institutional rules and regulations.

You will have the opportunity to:
Serve as Marketing Manager for assigned sports (Volleyball and Gymnastics), including the following:

Create marketing plans, game management, scripts/run-of-show, fan engagement and summaries.
Collaborate with ticket office on sale initiatives.
Oversee design and approval of promotional flyers and distribution.
Promote sports-specific events leading up to games for selected sports.
Lead communications with other departments on timing, programs, advertising, and other needs.
Manage and coordinate sport-specific social media content with other departments.
Football Game Day Promotions Coordinator

Coordinate all on-field events and promotions as they relate to in-game experience.
Manage pre-game efforts including team of student interns, fan zone set up, Bronco Walk and any additional needs.
Men’s and Women’s Basketball:

Assist with Game Day Sponsorship and Fulfillment.
Assist in video board production and in-game execution.
Oversee all on-court promotions as well as student and public lobbies.
Direct Supervision of Interns with fellow Graduate Assistants.

Interview / Hiring / Training
Schedule office hours and athletic events.
Lead professional development opportunities.
Other

Assist with Buster’s Kids Club.
Assist with community events.
Act as liaison to Cheer/Mascot/Mane Line for football game day and individual sports.
Manage marketing collateral requests.
Assist Assistant AD for Marketing on assigned projects.
Assist with special events.
Be responsible for maintaining NCAA, Mountain West Conference and Boise State Compliance rules.
This position will be required to work nights and weekends.
Other duties as assigned. At a minimum, you should have:

A Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations regarding compliance issues

Preferred qualifications:

Experience within the field of Collegiate Athletics Marketing.
General knowledge of graphic design and corresponding Adobe software.
Experience with social media platforms

Requirements:

Position will begin in June 2025
Finalist must enroll and be admitted into the Master of Athletic Leadership program ( http://hs.boisestate.edu/mal/ ) at Boise State University upon acceptance of position
Finalist must attend classes starting in June 2025

Salary and Benefits : 

Position is a 2-year appointment
Salary will be paid as a biweekly stipend and will include primary insurance coverage
Graduate school and fees will be paid for the 2-year Master of Athletic Leadership program while maintaining completion of degree requirements
