Compensation Information:
At BB&N a MS coach normally earns a season-long stipend of $2,500.00.

Job Summary:
Buckingham Browne & Nichols School is seeking a Head Boys Lacrosse Coach for MS (Grades 6-8). The Lacrosse Coach will report to the Director of Athletics and work closely with the Associate Director of Athletics. The BB&N Athletic Department expects its coaches to operate within the athletic philosophy of BB&N and adhere to the BB&N coaches’ manual.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
practice planning and game oversight,
mentoring and instructing middle school-age players in skill development, character development, and teamwork.
communicating with parents/guardians relevant information regarding games, practices, and other team commitments
commitment to the support and development of those students with an ability and/or desire to compete at the high school level is important.
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate should be collaborative, energetic, organized, knowledgeable, flexible, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.
In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Desire to work with Middle school students
Commitment to working in and fostering an inclusive community
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Middle School Coaching Schedule
Pre-season Coaches Meeting in early March (Date/Time TBD)
Practices begin March 11, 2025. The spring season ends on May 20, 2025
Practice is from around 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Games occur 1-2 times per week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and some Tuesdays.
Holidays when school is not in session include:
March 17th-28th, Spring Break
April 14th, Patriots Day
