    Minimum Qualifications:
    1. Must have graduated and earned a High School Diploma
    2. Earned or proof of working towards a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, Kinesiology, or other related field from an accredited University
    3. Professionally certified or proof of working towards a certification from one of the following organizations: CSCS (through the National Strength and Conditioning Association), USAW (through the USA Weightlifting), or HSSCC (through the National High School Strength Coaches Association). Other related certifications must be approved by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator if you have not obtained one of the previously mentioned ones above.
    4. Experience coaching at the youth or high school level
    5. Must be CPR/AED and First Aid Certified
    6. Must have valid FBI/BCI background checks

    Job Description
    This Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach would be a seasonal stipend position that directly aids, assists and supports the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator with all 7-12th grade Perkins athletic teams. Duties include: designing, programming and instructing safe, science based sports performance exercise programs to all middle/high school athletes, leading and directing groups of youth and high school athletes, applying principles of exercise science, injury prevention, resistance training, speed and agility, sports nutrition, and recovery into daily instruction, working with medical staff to oversee rehabilitation exercises for injured athletes, supporting all athletes’ mental and emotional well-being. You must be able to conduct sessions independently from the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach if they are working with another group. Must get all workouts and instruction pre-approved by the Head Strength Coach prior to instruction of athletes. Follow all safety and injury prevention guidelines. Promote the positive well-being of all student-athletes. Enhance the standards and culture of the Perkins Strength and Conditioning program, Perkins Athletics, and Perkins Local Schools.
