Job Description:

Analyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition; observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement; and coaches players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques of sport coached.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities of this position include leading pitching staff, monitoring academic performance, assisting with game scheduling, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Collegiate level competition and/or coaching experience leading a pitching staff.
  • Valid driver license with good driving record; must be insurable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in coaching.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate physical skills in the areas of physical potential and mental capacity for intercollegiate athletics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Working knowledge of NCAA D-1 Baseball rules and regulations.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Travel is a requirement of this position.
