Memphis, Tennessee, Expectations include, but are not limited to:
assistance in operating a successful intercollegiate athletic training program to include planning, organization, coordination, and management of health care to intercollegiate student-athletes
assistance in operation of athletic training facilities
assistance in athletic training coverage for 17 NCAA sports teams
evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and documentation of injuries
working with team physicians with rehabilitation programs and return protocol
adherence to institutional, Gulf South Conference and NCAA rules and regulations
supporting the vision of the CBU Athletics Department
other duties as assigned
This position reports to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine and must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students, while interacting successfully with department personnel and the College community. Newly certified athletic trainers and those with limited experience are encouraged to apply.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, a graduate of a CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Program, and an understanding of athletic training at the collegiate level. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specific to this position.
