    Job Title:    Middle School Volleyball Head Coach
    Reports to: Grades 6-12 Activity & Athletic Director and Dean of Students
    Salary:       $1,200 - $1,500
    Work year: Seasonal
     
    Job Summary:
              Join our staff as the middle school volleyball head coach and lead a team of highly dedicated student athletes. The head volleyball coach promotes an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship.
     
    Qualifications:

     
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • A teacher with a current teaching license is preferred but not a requirement.
    • Current CPR and AED Certification.
    • Previous coaching experience in this sport at the middle school level is desirable.
    • Have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive, and qualify under the district’s insurance carrier when driving a district vehicle.
    • Desire to continue career improvement.
    • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven problem-solving skills.
     
     
    Essential Functions:
     
    • Coordinate and supervise volleyball program and team.
    • Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
    • Design a training program and game program.
    • Support the value of an education.
    • Help students achieve gains in athletic skill and team performance.
    • Maintain good public relations for the volleyball program
    • Ensure that health and safety precautions are observed during all activities.
    • Immediately report all major injuries incurred during practice sessions or competition to the Activities and Athletic Director and Principal.
    • Ensure proper purchasing, inventory, and care of equipment.
    • Directs and supervises instructional and conditioning camps throughout the year.
    • Teach fundamentals for all aspects of this sport.
    • Communicate with parents and the community to promote this sport.
    • Follow school, league, district, and policies.
     
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.
