Administer the allocation of yearly athletic and activity budgets, oversee spending, fundraising, and long-term financial planning
Administer the athletic program and ensure that there is fidelity to all school, district and CHSAA athletic guidelines, rules, and bylaws
Assists in the supervision and safety of the school and campus
Assists in the supervision of all co-curricular activities
Attends all community, staff, and school board meetings and conferences as directed by the principal
Builds and sustains productive partnerships with key community stakeholders, including public and private sectors, to promote school improvement, student learning, and student well-being
Collaborates with staff and stakeholders to implement strategies for change to improve student outcomes

Provides dynamic leadership for the athletic and activity programs that includes student athletes, coaches, parent volunteers, parents, and the greater community
Reports to the principal regarding the needs of the school/program with respect to curriculum, instruction, assessment, staff, budget/resources, facilities, etc.
Serves as the leader of athletic and activity program development and lead school-wide trainings, fundraising, promotion of programs, scheduling of competitions, seasonal meetings, and banquets, supervise coaches and advisors, and spearhead publication of all handbooks
Stays current with educational trends, research, and best practices
Supervises and evaluates curricular and extracurricular activities and programs as assigned by the principal
Takes responsibility for ensuring that all students are progressing toward post-secondary and workforce readiness standards to be mastered by high school graduation; prepares students for success by ensuring mastery of all Colorado Academic Standards, including 21st Century skills
Takes responsibility for facilitating the preparation of students with the skills, dispositions and attitudes necessary for success in work and post-secondary education, including democratic and civic participation

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.)
3-5 Years Licensed School Site Experience
Principal License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education
Meets eligibility requirements and has applied for licensure at least one month prior to the start date for the position.
If currently enrolled, and not yet complete with licensure program, please include a letter from college/university stating completion of program at least one month prior to the start date for the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (e.g. M.A., M.S., M.Eng, M.Ed, M.S.W., M.B.A., M.L.S)
3 Years or More Administrative Experience as an Athletic Director
3 Years or More Administrative Experience at the High School Level
