General Description:
Position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and coaching instruction at a large public high school. Responsibilities may include supervising teams at varsity and junior varsity levels.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge and advanced strategies of Lacrosse. Knowledge of VHSL rules. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to mentor and develop players in a positive way. Desire to teach and improve skill development. Must pass criminal record check.
Education and Experience:
Required: Previous experience as a player and/or coaching at the high school level.
Preferred: Valid teaching license in a high school curriculum area.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Work Schedule: Spring Season - February 24, 2025 thru June 3, 2024
Pay Grade: 8
Salary Scale: Activities Stipend List
Physical Conditions:
Lacrosse season runs from February to June with pre-season condition. Requires moderate physical activity. Requires standing and/or walking for extended periods of time. Work is regularly performed outside. Potential for exposure to; adverse weather conditions, exposure to blood-borne pathogens and communicable diseases, possible interactions with disruptive and/or unruly individuals. Work may involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noise. Involves minimum exposure to physical risk while operating field maintenance equipment.
